19Oct

Doodling is always fun. It's calming, relaxing and what not! I suppose one could also get carried away just easily! But these two in particular were my treat for a long hour spent studying economy (yuck!)

Babies

Do they look like babies?

Doodling.....

I love doodles. Strictly speaking this shouldn't be considered a "doodle" because it is too controlled and was planned. But I love pen and ink drawings! Something about the stark contrast I think...

White-Breasted Kingfisher

Another try with watercolors. Still don't know how to make them work!

Eastern Yellow Robin

Came across a picture of this bird somewhere.. Looks lovely don't you think? :) According to the photographs of this bird, the plumage isn't blueish violet. It's more of a grayish blue but I didn't have the right colors with me :( But violet complements really well with the yellow! So it's all good :)

Another eagle

Another eagle head; not a very good one though. Eagles are definitely a very good subject. There is a lot of "attitude" there.
Drawn with a brush pen. I love it. I still need a lot of practice with that.

First one

Proportions are all wrong but I started on a good note I must say!

Practice works

Not so blah!

Yeah I know! Looks ugly and disturbing. Here's my journal entry from that day.
There's this one girl in my class. Married. She came to class one day sporting a black eye. Her face swollen and she left in middle of the class. Everyone one of us knew how and why she'd looked like that. None of us said or did anything. For one simple reason - She'd have to go back to that same home house.
That very thought was scary and sad. Having to go back to the monster(s) who abuse you AND having to call that place a HOME.

Bits and pieces

About the last one... I really can't handle watercolors that well. Difficult medium for me. But can't not work with them. Less control but love the results when done right.

First post!

For now! :)
